KEEP YOUR SPIRITUAL FIRE AFLAME

“I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:”

Matthew 3:11 (KJV)

The only way not to go down is to keep going upward.

Revival cannot be sustained if you relent in doing the things that precipitate revival. It is like a spark; once ignited, it must be fanned into flame to be sustained. The way to sustain the revival fire God has ignited in you is to increase it. Once your spiritual fire stops increasing, it will automatically die down.

I have observed that there is no stagnation in a spiritual walk, you are either going up or you are going down. The only way not to go down is to keep going upwards.

Revival is the act of making alive again those who were once alive but have fallen into a cold, lukewarm or dead state. And it must begin from within you.

How to Increase Your Fire:

  • 1 Study the Word and live by it.
  • 2 Timothy 2:15 KJV

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

2 Live in faith and by faith.

Hebrews 11:1 KJV

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

3 Pray fervently and without ceasing.

Ephesians 6:18 KJV

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

4 Exercise spiritual authority.

Pray for the sick, bind demons, and preach the Gospel.

Luke 10:19 KJV

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

5 Live a consecrated life. Separation from worldly ways is paramount for your revival.

2 Timothy 2:21 KJV

If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

6 Serve God faithfully.

Deploy your gifts for the advancement of His kingdom. Work in your church, in the area of your calling. Ensure your hands are on the plough as you expect the rain of revival to fall.

Exodus 23:25-26 KJV

And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee. [26] There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.

May the rain of revival fall on you, in Jesus’ Name.

Prayer & Confession of Faith

O Lord, cleanse every area of my life that is defiled. Realign every area where I have strayed, let the fire of the Holy Spirit keep me aflame, in Jesus’ Name. Shalom Hallelujah
